Millersville, Pa. — The Millersville men's soccer team has announced that a BLACKOUT will be in effect and is encouraging fans to wear black this Saturday when the No. 7 Marauders host No. 10 Northern Kentucky in an NCAA Division II Quarterfinal match at Chryst Field at Biemesderfer Stadium.
The Marauders (18-3), under the guidance of head coach Steve Widdowson, are enjoying the best season in school history. Millersville captured its first ever Atlantic Region title last Sunday by downing Slippery Rock. The team now sets its sights on earning a trip to the NCAA Division II Semifinals in Tampa, Fla.
Millersville can move a step closer to a shot at a national championship if it can defeat a formidable opponent in Northern Kentucky. The Norse (16-2-3) enter Saturday's game fresh off claiming their third consecutive Midwest Region title.
Game time for the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Quarterfinal tilt is slated for 7 p.m.
