MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The NCAA has released its latest NCAA Power Index (NPI) rankings for Division II men's soccer, with Millersville ranking 20th nationally, fifth in Super Region 1 and first among Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) opponents.
The NPI is a ranking system used in NCAA Divisions II and III to evaluate team performance. The system considers game results and opponent strength to calculate each team's ranking. Rankings are updated throughout the season as teams compete in additional contests. Opponents' NPI values can change throughout the season, and final NPI rankings are not determined until the season concludes.
The Marauders are also receiving votes in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll, released Oct. 13.
Millersville returns to action Wednesday, Oct. 14, hosting Shepherd at 1 p.m. before traveling to Bloomsburg on Saturday. Following this week's contests, the Marauders will have three regular-season games remaining, including two PSAC East matchups against East Stroudsburg and Shippensburg.
