Biography

2016 (Game-by-Game): Led the team in batting average with an excellent .384 mark and was 14th in the PSAC…Named to the Capital One Academic All-District Team…Scored 11 runs and recorded 10 RBIs in 33 games for Millersville…Piled up 11 multi-hit games, including four games with three hits or more…Went 4-for-5 with three runs, two RBIs and a double in the W over Virginia State…Smacked two doubles and two triples on the season…Knocked in the winning run against Ohio Valley…Was 5-for-5 on stolen base attempts…Recorded 33 hits on the year...Named PSAC Scholar-Athlete.

2015 (Game-by-Game): Didn't put up numbers quite like the ones from her freshman campaign but still saw a considerable amount of playing time...Saw action in 32 games with 28 starts, all of which came at the right field spot...Hit .203 (14-for-69) with three runs scored, one double, five RBIs, two walks, one sacrifice hit, and 18 putouts in the field without a single error and a 1.000 fielding percentage...Tallied four multiple-hit games including a three-hit performance with three singles including a bunt base hit on April 11 in game one of a twinbill vs. East Stroudsburg.

2014 (Game-by-Game): Had a stellar freshman campaign with 35 games played and 20 starts in center field (2) and right field (18)...Led the team in batting average at .403 with 27 hits in her 67 at-bats...That batting average is good for the eighth-best in a single season in Millersville history and was the sixth-best in the PSAC...Her .433 slugging percentage was fifth on the team and she led the Marauders in on-base percentage at .420...Scored 11 runs to go with two doubles and four RBIs...Walked twice, had two sacrifice hits and was a perfect 3-for-3 in stolen bases and attempts...Recorded a fielding percentage of .889 with three errors in 27 chances...Was a perfect 3-of-3 at the plate against both Alderson-Broaddus (Feb. 22) and Bowie State (March 27)...Had the longest hitting streak of any Marauder at 10 games that lasted from March 23 to April 6...Had five multiple-hit games and the second-longest reached-base streak at 11 games...Named PSAC Scholar-Athlete...Named NCAA Division II All-America Scholar Athlete by the NFCA.

High School: Played both softball and soccer at Unionville High School...Named Second Team All-Conference as a junior...Named team MVP, First Team All-Conference and Honorable Mention All-State as a senior...Team won the 2009 Protect Our Nation's Youths (PONY)  National Championship...Also part of a team that won the 2012 Amateur Softball Association (ASA) State Championship.

Personal: Daughter of Jeff and Debbi Hammond...Has three sisters, two older and one younger...Majoring in early childhood education.
