After a playing career at Lock Haven, Michelle Holweger joins Jen Probst’s 2019 softball coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach.
Holweger, a 2017 graduate from Lock Haven University, played an integral part of her team’s success as she started all 43 games during her senior campaign. In that year, Holweger collected .309 batting average, 12 doubles and 42 hits.
In her career, Holweger finished with a .310 career batting average. In 2016, she was named Division II NFCA Atlantic Region Second Team including a PSAC Central All-Conference honoree. She added the same conference honor the year after including a NFCA Academic All-American in 2016 and 2017. In Lock Haven program history, Holweger ranks 10th in career hits with 175, eighth in career RBIs with 105 and eighth in career doubles with 36.
Holweger is a native of Lansdale, Pa. She holds a sports administration degree from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania. Holweger is currently pursuing her master’s degree at Millersville for sports management.
