Marauders travel across the Atlantic for England tour

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Millersville men's soccer program will make another trip across the Atlantic to England to compete in a select amount of games. The tradition was established by head coach Steve Widdowson, who enters his 20th year at the helm. The trip gives the Marauders an early opportunity to compete against different competition as they begin preparing for the upcoming fall season.
Widdowson, a native of England, takes a group of Marauders on the trip once every four years so each player has the opportunity to experience traveling across the Atlantic during their career. 23 Marauders will have the opportunity to compete over the next week as they play in three matches. The trip also gives fellow Marauders Roy Parkyn and Louis Wright the chance to compete back on their home soil, as both seniors are from Broadstairs and Burntwood, England. Parkyn is coming off All-PSAC East and All-Atlantic Region honors as he and Wright look to help Widdowson capture his sixth PSAC title in their final season.
Millersville kicks off its England trip on Saturday at 5 a.m. eastern time against Doncaster Sports College.

Tuesday August 4 v Barnsley FC at 8:00am (1 pm in England)*
Wednesday August 5 v Hartlepool United at 9:00am (2 pm in England)*
