ABOUT THE GAME
- The back-to-back PSAC Eastern Division champions welcome Slippery Rock to Pucillo Field for the PSAC Quarterfinals. A change in the tournament format means the Marauders will compete in the opening round rather than receiving their usual bye to the semifinals. Millersville has the opportunity to host all three rounds of the tournament, with the top remaining Eastern Division seed earning hosting rights for the championship game.
- The Marauders enter Sunday riding a two-game winning streak after closing out the regular season with home victories over Lackawanna and Shippensburg. Slippery Rock comes to Millersville having not suffered a loss since Oct. 7 against Gannon. The Rock secured the No. 4 seed in the Western Division and will meet the Marauders for the first time since 2018. Millersville has historically controlled the series, holding a 20-11-2 record against Slippery Rock while winning the last three meetings.

GAME STORYLINES
- Millersville and Slippery Rock meet for the first time since 2018 when the two programs square off Sunday afternoon at Pucillo Field in the PSAC Quarterfinals.
- Offensively, the Marauders feature a balanced attack with scoring threats throughout the lineup. Senior Roy Parkyn leads the team with nine goals and 21 points, while fellow senior Zander Leik follows with six goals and 14 points. Millersville's depth extends well beyond its two leading scorers, with Brian O'Neill, Drew Jones, Matias Schmidt, Juan Ortiz-Escobar and Louis Wright all providing additional offensive options, whether in the starting lineup or coming off the bench.
- Defensively, Nolan McCarty and Kehmar Green continue to anchor the Marauder backline, forming a strong central pairing in front of goalkeeper Gavin Massimi. Haven Thomas and John Fiorillo provide versatility on the outside, contributing to the attack while limiting opposing scoring opportunities. The defensive unit has allowed the offense to operate with confidence, holding opponents to just five shots in each of the last two games. Millersville will look to carry that defensive momentum into Sunday's quarterfinal matchup.
- Gavin Massimi is expected to start in goal for the Marauders, continuing to build on an impressive second season as the team's starting goalkeeper. The junior has allowed just 14 goals while posting a .702 save percentage and a 10-4-1 record. Massimi has also recorded four shutouts this season and will look to provide another steady presence between the posts.
- Offensively, Slippery Rock features a balanced attack with scoring contributions coming from throughout the lineup, similar to Millersville. Kaden Reynolds and Boele Zwartele lead the way with six goals apiece, while several other Rock players have also recorded multiple goals this season. Slippery Rock has found the back of the net 11 times over its last six contests and has outscored opponents 29-20 throughout the regular season.
- Defensively, the Rock have been particularly strong down the stretch, allowing just three goals over their last six games while collecting multiple wins and draws to close out the regular season. Troy Nine has handled the majority of the goalkeeping duties, appearing in all but one game. The goalkeeper enters Sunday's matchup having allowed 20 goals while recording a .710 save percentage. Nine holds a 5-5-6 record with three shutouts on the season.
SERIES HISTORY
- Millersville and Slippery Rock meet for the first time since 2018, when the Marauders earned a convincing 4-0 victory over the Rock. Millersville has historically held the upper hand in the series, posting a 20-11-2 record since 1994. The Marauders have also claimed six of the last seven meetings between the programs, dating back to 2013.
