Millersville finished its 2023 season with an overall record of 25-28 and 12-19 in PSAC East play. Bloomsburg enters the postseason with a regular season record of 20-31 and 14-17 in conference action.
Millersville led for almost the entirety of game one as the Marauders hit three solo home runs in the first four innings and Alex Schaefer threw five and one-thirds scoreless innings. Aleese Angelo picked up right where she left off after breaking multiple records on Thursday afternoon as the junior sent a solo homerun to left center in her first at-bat of the game. In the fourth, Gabby D'Ottavio and Gabi Turner hit solo-shots as well to extend the Millersville lead to 3-0.
Bloomsburg would find a way to keep its playoff hopes alive in the seventh as they put together a four-run seventh inning to take game one. Morgan Crutcher took the loss and ended her season with 7-12 record.
The second game was action-packed as 17 total runs were scored. Millersville would score the first six in just three innings which featured two homeruns in the second, one from Taylor Campagna and Angelo's second of the day. The other four runs started in the first inning after a Turner RBI single which was followed by an Alyssa Stover two-RBI single. Sami Fried scored on a passed ball in the third to extend 'Ville's lead to 6-0.
Bloomsburg found a way back into this game as well, scoring one in the third and then outscoring the Marauders 9-1 during the remainder of the play to clinch the division's final playoff berth.
Despite not making the playoffs, Millersville broke a number of program records.

"We made strides in a lot of the areas we needed to improve but not enough to get where I know this team can be," said head coach Jen Probst. "They stuck together all year and battled til the end. Statistically we had some real high lights, breaking team offensive records in hits, rbis, runs scored and doubles and as a pitching staff they set the record for strikeouts. I want to say thank you to Gab v and Lacey for the opportunity to coach their final season. They left it all out on the field and ended playing great softball."
