ABOUT THE GAME
- Three of the four teams remaining in the Super Region 1 corner of this year's NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Tournament finished the regular season ranked top-five nationally. Davis & Elkins College finished ranked No. 3, Franklin Pierce University No. 4, and University of Charleston (W. Va.) rounded out the powerhouse programs at No. 5. Millersville, who finished the season unranked, and was the last team in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament, will look to play upset starting with No. 1 seeded Franklin Pierce on Thursday, Dec. 2 at 10 a.m. This will be the first meeting all-time between the two schools.
- The Marauders are coming off a thrilling second round PK victory over PSAC West foe Gannon, while the Ravens routed their conference foe, Post, 4-0 in the second round.
- This is Millersville's first trip to the third round since the NCAA Tournament format changed to super regions. Franklin Pierce made their most recent trip in 2019 when they beat Post to advance to the Quarterfinals.
- The winner of this matchup will advance to the NCAA Quarterfinals to face off with the winner of Davis & Elkins and reigning National Champion, Charleston (W. Va.).

SCOUTING THE MARAUDERS
- The Marauders have been on a tear in their last seven outings, outscoring opponents 16-2, and firing in 65 shots on goal in that time.
- Spencer Shortt continues to wreck havoc on opposing defenses, as he fired eight shots Gannon's way in the second round game, with three of them landing on frame.
- Anthony Calamia also had his fair share of offensive opportunities, firing five shots, three on goal. The redshirt junior also converted the first PK for Millersville in the win.
- Bob Hennessey provided the most electric moment of the season for Marauder fans, converting a PK to send Millersville to the third round. He also was able to send two shots on goal against the Golden Knights.
- Redshirt senior and captain Matteo Adiletta was able to get on the board early with a goal in the 5' of play against Gannon. This gives him a goal in each of the last two contests. Him and Matt Lynch have been key pieces offensively for Head Coach Steve Widdowson, as Lynch scored the only other 'Ville goal in the second round win.
- Bobby Bosch has given up three goals in his last seven starts and will look to try and contain a potent Franklin Pierce offense.
- Marauder defenders Aaron Maynard, Mike Kreider, and Jadon Courtney will play huge roles, along with Bosch, in looking to slow down the Ravens.
SCOUTING THE RAVENS
- Franklin Pierce finished the season ranked as the No. 4 team nationally, and were ranked as high as No. 1 nationally during the season. They come into this matchup with a 20-1 record, with their only loss coming in double overtime against Stonehill, 1-0. Leading into the loss they were a perfect 14-0, and they have been perfect since, going 6-0 en route to a Northeast-10 Tournament Title and an NCAA Tournament victory.
- The Ravens offensive attack is led by Freshman Forward, Braudilio Rodrigues. Rodrigues has scored a team-high 11 goals and recorded a team-high 24 points this far into his first season under Head Coach Rusben Resendes.
- Graduate student, Pedro Juan Vicente, has scored eight goals and sent out six assists for 22 points. Jonas Cervera Anchel has sent out a team high nine assists on the year.
- The team holds a very balanced attack, with seven players scoring four or more goals on the season.
- Kosta Maniatis has started a majority of the matches for FPU this season and will likely be in goal Thursday morning against the Marauders. He has given up just seven goals in his 18 appearances, which include 17 starts. The junior has also shutout 10 teams.
THE LAST TIME OUT
- Millersville: Millersville 2(4), Gannon 2(3) - The Marauders defeated the Golden Knights in PKs to advance in the NCAA Tournament.
- Franklin Pierce: Franklin Pierce 4, Post 0 - The Ravens routed Post 4-0 to advance.
