Calamia goal lifts Millersville over Shepherd, 1-0

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Men's soccer earned a home victory on Saturday over Shepherd, defeating the Rams 1-0. Although the Marauder offense only scored one goal, the ball was in their attacking third for a large percentage of the game. Millersville (6-3, 2-2 PSAC East) finished the game with 29 total shots, 15 on frame, and nine total corner kicks in the win. This win moves Millersville into the No. 4 spot in the Pennsylvania East Athletic Conference (PSAC) East standings.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• Anthony Calamia scored the game-winning goal in the 61st minute off a cross from Spencer Shortt.
• Bobby Bosch recorded three saves in the match, including a huge save in the 23rd minute that would have given Shepherd a one goal advantage.

• On the offensive chances: "It's Great that we are creating chances. We could have had even more as well, but the next step is we need to convert those chances. We have to be more clinical because, we can't keep missing the types of chances we did today, that will eventually catch up with us."
• On the win: "Wins are always important so we will take that but we also need more consistency in our performance. Happy with the result but not satisfied with several parts of our performance."
• On East Stroudsburg next week: "That is going to be a very difficult game and we need to make sure we elevate our levels if we want to get a positive result on Wednesday."
