Marauders fall to East Stroudsburg, 2-0

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – East Stroudsburg took down Millersville Wednesday night at Pucillo Field by a score of 2-0. The Marauders controlled the pace for a majority of the match, outshooting the Warriors 11-2 in the first half and 10-4 in the second; however, a couple of costly second half turnovers led to two goals and an East Stroudsburg win.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• Colby Raymond scored the first goal of the match in the 65th minute of play. He took a pass from Lucas Marques and scored what ended up being the game-winning goal.
• Bradley Turocy sealed the deal for East Stroudsburg in the 82nd minute with a goal of his own.
• The Marauders recorded eight shots on goal but were unable to get past Warrior keeper, Raymond Fortebuono.
POST GAME REACTION FROM HEAD COACH STEVE WIDDOWSON
• On the teams' play tonight: "I think between the boxes we were very solid, moved the ball well and did some good things. However, in and around the boxes we were nowhere near good enough again.
• On moving on in the PSAC East: "It's up to every individual to find something inside themselves to stand up to the pressures and execute in the moment. We still have everything possible to achieve but time is starting to run out so every game is becoming a must win situation.

• Millersville held the edge in shots 21-6, and shots on goal 8-3.
• Matthew Lynch led the team with three shots on goal. Spencer Shortt was just behind him with two.
• Ville' held the edge with seven corners to the Warrior's one.
• Anthony Calamia received a yellow card in the match.

• The loss brings the Millersville all-time record versus ESU to 19-46-5
