| In collaboration with Millersville's chapter of Public Relations Student Society of America, the softball and lacrosse teams will wear blue and green accessories this week to support the Ville Gives Life organ donation awareness campaign. Softball will host Bloomsburg for a doubleheader at Seaber Softball Stadium on Tuesday with the first game starting at 4:30 p.m. Lacrosse is taking its support on the road to face Kutztown on Wednesday. Ville Gives Life: Have a Heart is an interactive event aimed to increase awareness of the importance of organ donation and embrace the greatest act of kindness there is: becoming an organ donor. The event will take place Wednesday, April 12 in the Atrium of the Student Memorial Center (SMC) at Millersville University from noon-5 p.m. The event features informational tables, speakers, and hands-on activities for participants. Anyone wishing to become a registered organ donor will have the opportunity to do so. From 3-5 p.m., speakers including Millersville student, Ashley Duross, will share how organ donation impacted their lives. To share experiences from the event, participants should use #VilleHasHeart on social media. |
