'Ville men's soccer ranked ninth in initial NCAA Super Region rankings

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Millersville men's soccer has already clinched the PSAC Eastern Division title, and on Wednesday, the team was ranked No. 9 in the official NCAA Super Region 1 rankings.
The rankings eventually determine the 40-team field for the NCAA Tournament when the conference tournaments conclude. Super Region 1 includes teams from the East Coast Conference, CACC, NE10, Mountain East Conference and PSAC. 10 teams from each super region qualify for the tournament.
The Marauders enter the final week of the regular season with a 9-3-4 record. The only PSAC team ranked higher is Gannon (10-2-4) at No. 6. Southern New Hampshire landed in the No. 1 spot with a 12-1-2 record followed by Bentley at 10-1-3. Charleston is third with a 13-0-2 mark.
Millersville has been on quite a run over the last month, going 6-0-2 in its previous eight matches, including going 1-0-1 against Bloomsburg, which was ranked No. 10 in the super region rankings.
The tournament selection show is set for Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. Millersville closes its regular season on the road at East Stroudsburg on Thursday at 7 p.m. Millersville's PSAC Tournament begins on Nov. 14 at Gannon.
