WEST CHESTER, Pa. -Â The Millersville men's soccer team had a winning streak snapped and were shutout for the fourth time this year in a 3-0Â defeat at West Chester Wednesday.Â
The Marauders created opportunities offensively, taking nine shots in the first half alone, but it was the Golden Rams that jumped to a 1-0 lead in the 39th minute of play. Tommy Bodenschatz was assisted by Jack Dieffenderfer.Â
Regrouping at the half, the Marauders came back with attack, taking eight more shots and earning four corner opportunities. The defense kept the Golden Rams to one for a majority of the half. It was not until the 80th minute that West Chester sealed the deal over Millersville with back-to-back goals. Devven Frey scored his third goal of the season, off an assist from Joseph Maxwell. Cooper Jackson added to the West Chester lead just two minute after Frey, scoring his first goal of the year.Â

The Millersville men's soccer program has just three days to rest and recover before facing their next conference opponent, Bloomsburg, on the road Oct. 5 at 3 p.m.
