
Millersville to host women's tennis ITA Atlantic Regional

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Millersville University women's tennis team plays host to the ITA Atlantic Regional from Saturday, Sept. 21 through Monday, Sept. 23.
Action will take place at two sites with the championship singles and doubles tournaments being held on Millersville's McComsey Tennis Courts while the B singles and doubles tournaments will be played at Manor Middle School, located at 2950 Charlestown Road in Lancaster, Pa. Both sites have free admission. A total of 14 teams from the region will be represented.
Saturday's opening round of action at both sites begins with doubles matches at 8 a.m. Singles matches at both sites start at 10:30 a.m. The final round of the double elimination tournament begins at 5 p.m. on Saturday. On Sunday, the doubles quarterfinals and semifinals will start at 9 a.m., at McComsey Courts. Championship singles, round three, back-draw, quarterfinals run from 11 a.m. until the conclusion of play. Site two at Manor Middle School has an identical schedule.
Matches conclude on Monday at McComsey Courts with the championship doubles match at 9 a.m., the championship singles semifinals at 10:30 a.m., and the championship singles match at 1 p.m.
Millersville's Esperanza Contador, freshman Hannah Bryan and freshman Julie Wallace will competed in the championship singles bracket. West Virginia State's Kierstin Hensley is the championship singles No. 1 seed.
In the B singles draw, Victoria Hanus, Corinne Grohoski, Maria Ojeda, Kelsey Heckert and Jasmine Morris will all be in action.
Millersville's championship doubles teams include Contador and Wallace and Bryan and Grohinski. Heckert and Hanus and Morris and Ojeda pair up in the B draw.
