'Ville women's tennis lands academic honors

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Millersville women's tennis team was recognized by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) as an All-Academic Team, and nine of its members were named ITA Scholar-Athletes for outstanding academic performances.
Millersville's individual honorees included Annika Rojas, Mia Gassert, Luci Consigliere, Marian Hayes, Lauren Hayes, Anna Lauerer, Duda Coutinho Barreto, Sophie Lanius and Olivia Roth.
The All-Academic Team award is presented to teams with a grade point average of 3.2 or higher. The Marauders posted a 3.64 cumulative GPA with a 3.63 GPA during the spring semester, marks that ranked first among all of Millersville's teams.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, individuals most hold a GPA of 3.5 or higher during the academic year.
