
Women's tennis drops 5-0 decision to Northwood

Orlando, Fla. - Despite some strong doubles play, the Millersville University women's tennis team fell to Northwood University, 5-0, on Friday afternoon. The match was played to decision due to the hot weather.
The Marauders fall to 3-9, while the Timberwolves improve to 13-4.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• Kelsey Heckert and Victoria Hanus narrowly lost their flight three doubles match, 7-5, and Katina Jones and Jasmine Morris trailed just 6-5 in their flight one doubles match before it was called.
• Heckert put up a tough fight in her flight three singles match. After dropping the first set, 6-2, she bounced back to win the second set, 6-2, before falling in the final set, 10-5.
• Hanus lost her first set, 6-4, at flight six singles, but led 3-2 in the second set before it was cut short.

• "They played very well this week against some strong teams. This will help prepare us for PSAC play. Our doubles really improved throughout the week and we have a couple players playing very good tennis."
