
Women's tennis loses tight 4-3 match against Post

Millersville, Pa. - The Millersville University women's tennis team played its closest match of the season, but ultimately fell to Post University on Wednesday afternoon, 4-3.
The Marauders fall to 3-10, while the Eagles improve to 12-6.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• Katina Jones and Jasmine Morris began the match with a 6-3 win at flight one doubles.
• Jones and Morris were also victorious in their respective singles matches. Jones won the first set of her flight one match, 6-1, and then clinched the win with a 7-3 victory in a tiebreaker in the second set. Morris cruised to a 6-2, 6-2 win at flight two.
• Corinne Grohoski also earned a victory in singles play. She won the first set of her flight six match, 6-3, and then edged her opponent in a close second set, 7-5.
• Kelsey Heckert fell just short in a nail-biting flight three singles match. After winning the first set, 6-2, Heckert lost a 7-3 tiebreaker in the second set and narrowly lost a 6-4 decision in the final set.
• Victoria Hanus also lost a very close three-set singles match. She won the first set at flight five, 6-3, before dropping the second set, 6-2, and lost a very close final set, 7-5.
• Grohoski and Megan Rovenolt lost a very well-fought match at flight two doubles, 6-4.
NOTES
• This marks the first meeting between these two teams in program history.

• Millersville begins Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) play when it hosts Bloomsburg on Saturday, March 30 at 1 p.m. on the McComsey Tennis Courts.
