
Women's Tennis Falls Short Against Gordon

Hilton Head, S.C. – The Millersville women's tennis team was dealt a 9-0 loss by Gordon College Monday. Gordon improved to 14-3 overall.
Millersville failed to score throughout the match but gave the Fighting Scots a solid fight. At No. 2 singles Nicole Daacke went into a third set against Gordon's Justine Hanson but fizzled during the late by a score of 6-1, 3-6, 10-6. No. 4 Kaylora Thomspon also went into three sets but also fell short.
The Marauders put up a resilient fight in doubles matches but could not stand up to the Fighting Scots. No. 1 doubles team of Sarah Sambrick and Nicole Daacke ended their match with a score of 8-5 against Gordon's Abbie Denney and Justine Hanson-the closest during the doubles sets.
Millersville is set to take on Lebanon Valley in Hilton Head, SC. on Tuesday, March 8.
