Robinson's record night powers Marauders to win

Millersville, Pennsylvania - Celeste Robinson dropped a career-high 28 points and eclipsed 1,000 for her Marauder career as Millersville defeated Mansfield 74-45. In just her second game back from injury, the redshirt senior was 12-15 from the floor and added four steals and two assists in the effort Alayah Hall had 16 points on five of eight shooting and Courtney Dimoff added eight points off the bench.
The Marauders dominated the fast break points, scoring 24 points to just two for the Mounties. Millersville also forced 18 turnovers and scored 22 points off turnovers while doubling up Mansfield 44-22 in the paint.
The Marauders found themselves in an early 4-0 hole but went on a 9-0 run tot ake the lead. After Mansfield hit a pair of free throws, Robinson drove the lane and scored her seventh point of the quarter to make the score 11-6 Millersville. The Mounties would take the lead but Hinnant hit a turnaround jumper and Robinson scored as the Marauders took a 15-13 lead into the second quarter.
The redshirt senior continued to stay hot in the second, scoring five consecutive baskets and extending the Millersville lead to eight (25-17). Mansfield would go on a run and cut the lead to three points as the two sides went into half.
Robinson immediately picked up where she left off in the third, scoring the first bucket of the quarter and making the score 32-27. Minutes later, Millersville would start to put some distance between themselves and the Mounties scoring six unanswered and take a 10-point lead. After the two sides traded buckets, Millersville would get a layup from Alayah Hall and go into the fourth quarter with a 51-39 lead.
The fourth quarter was all Millersville as the Marauders began the period on an 11-0 run and never looked back. The Marauders would cruise to a 29 point victory and improve to 4-7 (2-4 PSAC). Millersville next plays at Shippensburg on January 3 at 5:30 p.m.
