GAME OVERVIEW
• The race for the postseason in the PSAC East is starting to take shape but much can happen with 10 divisional games remaining on Millersville's schedule. The Marauders can make up some ground Wednesday against West Chester, which is currently sitting in second place and two games ahead of the Marauders. The Marauders may be 6-6 in league play but are 6-3 since starting with three road losses. Five of Millersville's six league losses have come on the road. Millersville is also 9-3 since starting 1-3. Millersville has won back-to-back games by scoring an average of 71.5 points and allowing just 47.0. It is the first time this season that Millersville has scored 70-plus points in back-to-back games but the ninth time in the last 11 games it has held its opponent to fewer than 60 points.
• Defense has been the staple for Millersville, allowing a PSAC-best 58.2 points per game--the only team in the league to allow fewer than 60 points per game. The Marauders also lead the league in field goal percentage defense (.363). Millersville is 7-2 when holding opponents to fewer than 60 points and have held eight of the last nine opponents to under than 40 percent shooting and four opponents to under 30 percent shooting four times in that stretch.
• The defense has performed well but the Marauders still need to score. Millersville averages just 63.8 points per game--nearly 12 fewer than league-leading Shippensburg. But when the Marauders score even 60 points, they are 8-1. They are just 2-5 when failing to score 60 points.
• West Chester's four consecutive wins is one away from its longest winning streak over Millersville in series history. West Chester won five in a row from 1970-75 and also won four in a row from 1991-92. Millersville has lost five in a row at West Chester, last winning at Hollinger Fieldhouse in 2012.
• The first two quarters usually tell the full game story for Millersville. The Marauders are 8-0 when leading at the half. They have outscored teams 484-457 in the first half this season. Millersville's best quarter, though, is the fourth, where it has outscored teams 269-227.
• Millersville scores the majority of its points on the inside, having outscored teams in the paint in all 16 games. Over the last two games, the Marauders have a 78-36 edge in points in the paint, including a 44-16 edge against Bloomsburg.
• The Marauders racked up a season-high 19 steals against USciences. Tyisha White led the charge with eight steals, which were the most by a Marauder since Mashira Newman's school record 11 against East Stourdsburg in 2013. White is a big reason why the Marauders now rank third in the PSAC in steals per game at 9.38. White ranks 12th in the PSAC and Celeste Robinson's 2.0 per game ranks seventh. The Marauders are one of four teams with two players ranked in the top 15 in steals per game. White has at least one steal in 13 of 16 games and has recorded 15 in the last five.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
• • West Chester is rolling, having won three in a row and seven of the last eight with the lone loss since Dec. 5 coming on the road at California. Six of those seven wins came by double-digits including a 25-point rout of Mansfield on Saturday. West Chester is among the best offensive teams in the PSAC, averaging 74.1 points per game (No. 2). The Golden Rams share the ball, averaging a league-best 19.9 assists per game. It also ranks No. 2 in free throw shooting (.729).
• Brittany Sicinski is the league's No. 6 scorer at 16.6 points per game. She hits 49.8 percent of her shots and has three 20-point performances in her last six games. She's scored 20 or more seven times this season. Sicinski also leads the team in assists.
