Cousins graduated from Millersville in December of 2014 and took over Ashley Moyer's position as the coaching staff's graduate assistant.
In 2014, Cousins finished her one season as a student assistant for Fleig's staff. She was part of a coaching staff that led Millersville to its 800th program win, 18th-straight PSAC Tournament appearance and 19th overall since Fleig was hired prior to the 1990-91 season. She helped the program to a 19-9 record and third-place finish in the PSAC East in 2015-16.
Cousins played 87 games under Fleig and started 33 of them from 2009-13. She started all 29 games of the 2012-13 season in which the Marauders went 21-8 including 16-6 in PSAC play.
The Harrisburg native registered 4.6 points and 3.9 rebounds per game as a Marauder while averaging just over 14 minutes per game. Her best season came as a senior when she averaged 8.7 points and ranked second on the team with 6.3 rebounds per game. She totaled three double-doubles on the season and scored 13 points to go with eight rebounds in the PSAC Semifinals against Gannon.
