INDIANA, Pa. --- The Millersville women's basketball team saw its 2025-26 campaign come to a close on Wednesday evening, falling 77-43 to Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) in the PSAC Tournament Quarterfinals at the Kovalchick Convention & Athletic Complex.
Despite a gritty defensive effort that held the Crimson Hawks to a modest 14 points, the Marauders struggled to find their rhythm offensively against a stout IUP defense that averages 79.0 points per game. Millersville shot 18 of 65 from the field and fought through shooting woes throughout the night, finishing the contest at 27.7% from the floor.
Bryn Zentner led the way for Millersville, posting 12 points and eight rebounds. Gabby Bowes joined her in double figures with 11 points, while Daniella Ranieli orchestrated the offense with a team-high five assists to go along with eight points.
The Crimson Hawks got started early in the opening frame, outscoring the Marauders 25-11, shooting 61.5% from the field. The Marauders matched great shooting efficiencies with a poor 27.8% from the field, which led to an early deficit.
Millersville showed life in the third quarter, shooting a game-best 37.5% in the period and attacking the glass, but the Crimson Hawks' ability to limit the Marauders to just one made three-pointer on the night proved to be the difference, going 1 of 18.
Defensively, Kelly Cleaver was a force off the bench, hauling in a game-high 10 rebounds and recording three steals and two blocks in 23 minutes of action.
The Marauders finish the season with a proud postseason showing and a foundation built on veteran leadership and emerging young talent.
