ABOUT THE GAME

As the PSAC East race intensifies, the Millersville Marauders prepare to host the Mansfield Mountaineers at Pucillo Gymnasium. With playoff seeding on the line and a dominant home streak to protect, Millersville looks to complete the season sweep, while Mansfield aims to play spoiler and capture their first conference win of the season.
When these two teams last met on January 10th in Mansfield, it was a tale of two halves. The Marauders overcame a sluggish start, trailing by one at the break before an explosive 22-point third quarter shifted the momentum for good. GAME STORYLINES

The headline of the January 10th matchup was Daniella Ranieli, who put on a shooting clinic with a career-high 35 points. Ranieli was a perfect 7-of-7 from three-point range and added five steals on the defensive end. Mansfield’s primary defensive objective will be to run her off the line and force the Marauders' secondary scorers, like Morgan Mahoney and Carley Berk, to carry the load.
Millersville has recently leaned on its defensive identity, highlighted by Kelly Cleaver earning PSAC Defensive Player of the Week honors in late January. Her ability to protect the rim will be tested by Mansfield’s Katie Sheeler, who led the Mounties with 32 points of her own in their last outing.
