Langan and Miller named to All-PSAC East Teams

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) announced the 2022-23 women's basketball all-conference awards on Thursday afternoon and Millersville University's Taylor Langan and Marin Miller earned All-PSAC East honors. 

Langan was awarded with All-PSAC East First Team after a standout performance for the Marauders this season. Starting for the Marauders in every game, the graduate guard was a do-it-all player for Millersville as she led the team in scoring average (15.9), rebounds (6.9 avg), assists (2.9), steals (2.5), and minutes (34.3). Langan also ranks second in the PSAC in steals, sixth in field goal percentage (.466) and eighth in scoring.  

Langan marked 22 games this season with double-digits, nine of which she scored 20 or more, and five games reaching double-doubles.  

Miller was awarded All-PSAC East Second Team, playing in every game for the Marauders in her first season in the black and gold and starting in 29. The point guard averaged 31.3 minutes and led Millersville behind the arc with 39 three-pointers while shooting .345. Miller ranked second on the team in points (11.0 avg), assists (2.3 avg), and third in steals (1.5 avg).  

Shippensburg's Ariel Jones was named PSAC East Athlete of the Year, West Chester's Michelle Kozicki was named PSAC East Defensive Player of the Year, and Lock Haven's Alana Robinson was named PSAC East Freshman of the Year. Head coach for West Chester, Kiera Wooden, was awarded PSAC East Coach of the Year after clinching the PSAC East regular season title.  

In the Western Division, Gannon's Samantha Pirosko was voted athlete of the year and teammate Bri Claxon was named freshman of the year. The defensive award went to Allycia Harris of California (Pa.) and Edinboro's Callie Wheeler was named coach of the year.
