
Millersville men's tennis falls at Jefferson

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Jefferson Rams stayed undefeated while sending the Millersville men's tennis team to its first dual loss of the season Thursday at the Legacy Tennis Center.
Jefferson improved to 2-0 while the Marauders' record evened at 1-1 with Thursday's 7-0 score. Jefferson is the first opponent to sweep Millersville in a completed dual since Chestnut Hill won 7-0 in April of 2019.
Millersville's lineup failed to win a set in any of the nine contested matches, but several sets were pushed to extra games. Shaurya Piplani and Lino Morin pushed Hannibal Borg and Jules Thibault to a tiebreaker before falling, 7-6 (7-4). Hubert Theriault used a first-set tiebreaker to get by Piplani at No. 3 singles, 7-6 (7-4), 6-3.
Millersville competes at the PSAC Individual Championships at Bloomsburg beginning Saturday, Oct. 8.
