Men's tennis drops nail-biter final match against Goucher

BALTIMORE MD. - The Millersville University men's tennis team dropped a nail-biting final match to Goucher College on Thursday April 23. Milan Urbanek and Arrav Bharti led the way for the Marauders, each securing a singles victory, while the duo also combined for the team's lone doubles win. Daniel Ducheyne added another point with a gritty performance, but it wasn't enough as Millersville fell just short in the 4-3 loss.
In doubles play, Sandor Wulf and Axel Duclos were the first to finish, falling 6-2 to their opponents. Adrian Weisser and Ducheyne battled throughout a tightly contested match but came up just short in a 7-6 decision. Urbanek and Bharti provided the highlight of doubles action, outplaying the Gophers in a 7-6 victory to secure the Marauders' lone doubles win.
Duclos and Weisser struggled in their matches, dropping quick decisions to the Gophers. Urbanek secured the Marauders' first point with a tight 6-2, 7-6 victory. Ducheyne followed with a strong 6-1, 6-3 win, while Bharti capped off the singles victories with a 6-4, 7-5 decision. Wulf battled in the deciding match-up, pushing his opponent in a close first set before narrowly falling 7-5, 6-5.
The Marauders end their season with a record of 2-11 and 1-4 in conference.
