Millersville, Pa. – The Millersville University women's tennis team earned its first victory of the season on Saturday at McComsey Courts over Daemen (N.Y.) College by a score of 6-1.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

Jasmine Morris pulled off a close 6-3, 7-6 (7-5) win at flight two singles for her first collegiate victory.
Kelsey Heckert swept her opponent at flight four singles for her first collegiate win.
Sophie May and Corinne Grohoski won the team's first doubles match of the season at flight two, the first collegiate victory of May's career.
Megan Rovenolt won her first match of the season 6-2, 6-3 at flight three singles.
Katina Jones lost a well-fought 6-4, 1-6, 10-5 match at flight one singles.

NOTES

Daemen forfeited flight three doubles and flights five and six singles.

UP NEXT

Millersville will next host Holy Family University at 1 p.m. on Sept. 9 at McComsey Courts.
