ABOUT THE MARAUDERS
• Three matches remain in the regular season for Millersville and all three will be played in Pucillo Gymnasium where the Marauders have posted a 10-1 record so far this season. Millersville has won two in a row and that includes a sweep of Clarion, who entered the match leading the PSAC Southwest Division. All three opponents left on the slate are PSAC Southeast foes.
• Millersville is in a fight for a spot in the PSAC Tournament. The last two wins have upped the Marauders' PSAC record to 8-7 and put them alone in eighth place, leading West Chester by one match and trailing division leader East Stroudsburg by one. The four division winners and four at-large teams based on best record regardless of division qualify for the PSAC Tournament. Last season, Millersville went 9-9 in league play and missed the postseason by one win.
• Millersville last reached the PSAC Tournament in 2013 and has played in the postseason just three times since 2001. Millersville won seven PSAC East titles between 1992-1999.
• Two more wins will give Millersville above .500 records in back-to-back seasons for the first time 1998-99. One win will ensure a .500 record, and that would give the Marauders a .500 or better winning percentage in five of the last eight seasons under Brian Smith. Millersville posted just one .500 record from 2000-2010.
• Jayci Suseland returned Friday after missing two matches and delivered her third 20-kill match of the season against Clarion and then totaled 13 kills on 18 attacks against IUP. Suseland, who was an All-GLIAC performer as a freshman at Grand Valley State, is making a strong case to be an All-PSAC performer in 2018. She ranks second in the PSAC in hitting percentage at .329 despite have 100 more kills and 260 more attempts than the player in first place. Suseland's 726 attempts are 58 more than any other player rnaked in the top 15. Suseland also ranks second in the league in kills with 314. Suseland is 30 away from 10th place on Millersville's single-season kills list.
• Katie Laughman's 905 assists in 2017 was good for 10th all-time at Millersville. Laughman ranks fifth in the PSAC with 9.86 assists per set in 2018. Laughman needs 72 assists to be just the third player in program history with two seasons of 900 assists.
• Against IUP, freshman Chyna Gubbings matched her career high with 10 kills. Gubbings also added three blocks and has tallied at least one block in nine consecutive matches.
• Samantha Miller has an ace if four consecutive matches and five total in that span--all with just one error. Courtney Turocy totaled five aces in the team's last two matches.
