Johnstown, Pa. – The Millersville University men's soccer team claimed a 1-0 victory over Pitt-Johnstown, which clinched the team's fourth-consecutive PSAC Tournament appearance.
The Marauders improved to 8-3-5 and 6-2-2 in conference play and now sit in third place in the conference with one game left in the regular season.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• The Marauders were on the attack early as junior Jacob Gosselin chipped a cross into the box. Senior Chase Flickinger gathered the pass and scored in the sixth minute.
• Junior Matteo Adiletta earned a penalty kick in the 22nd minute but was stopped by Pitt's Jonathan Reboton.
• In a span of 11 minutes, the Marauders sent six shots compared to Pitt-Johnstown's one, starting in the 74th minute.
HEAD COACH STEVE WIDDOWSON QUOTES
• "It was a thoroughly disappointing performance. As a team, we did not play to a level anywhere near our capabilities."
• "We have a full week of training this week which is great. We need to put in some good hard work and get ready for Gannon and the playoffs."
• "Chase's goal was an opportunistic goal. Jake put in a decent service that popped out to the top of the box and Chase was bright enough to step onto it and finish with a good first time shot."
INDIVIDUAL LEADERS
• Junior goalkeeper Darian McCauley only played in the first five minutes. Freshman Bobby Bosch played in the rest of the game. Bosch stopped one shot.
• Gosselin and freshman Anthony Calamia had a team-high four shots.

• The Marauders recorded their highest corner kicks total on the season with 12.
• Bosch recorded his first minutes as a Marauders in goal.
