Men's Tennis Dispatches Endicott for First Win

Hilton Head, S.C. - By sweeping doubles and four singles matches, the Millersville men's tennis team notched its first win of the 2011-12 season by toppling Endicott, 7-2.
The Marauders, now 1-2, cruised through doubles competition. The No. 1 team of Preetham Moras and Jody Sambrick, Jr. earned its first win as a team, defeating Jake Cohen and Olivier Joggi by an 8-0 score. Henry Ben and Corey Garnier teamed for an 8-3 win at No. 2 doubles, and the No. 3 team of Tyler Lied and Kevin Tran picked up an 8-6 victory.
In singles competition, Moras, Ben, Sambrick and Garnier all improved to 2-1 on the season. Moras won easily over Ben Randlett, 6-1, 6-0. Ben and Sambrick also won in straight sets at No. 2 and No. 3 singles. Garnier needed the third set to dispatch Justin Warshavsky, 6-3, 6-7, 10-5.
Millersville takes on Winston-Salem State Wednesday at 12 p.m.
