Marauders dominate Kutztown in conference match

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Millersville University women's tennis team delivered a dominant performance in its second conference dual meet, sweeping Kutztown University by a perfect 7-0 score. The Marauders won every match on the day, showcasing their depth and control from start to finish.
At No. 1 doubles, Lauren Hayes and Marian Hayes dominated their match-up with a commanding 6-0 victory. Annika Rojas and Mia Gassert followed with a strong 6-2 win, while Luci Consigliere and Duda Coutinho Barreto capped off the doubles sweep with a 6-1 triumph.
In singles play, Gassert was the lone Marauder to record a perfect sweep, cruising to a 6-0, 6-0 victory. L. Hayes continued her dominant form with a 6-2, 6-2 win, while both Consigliere and Barreto secured matching 6-3, 6-2 victories. M. Hayes also remained flawless in spring singles competition, improving to 6-0 with a strong 6-0, 6-2 performance.
The Marauders return to their home courts on April 6, when they host Jefferson in a rescheduled dual meet.
