BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - Lauren Hayes made the deepest singles run by a Marauder in the last 20 years, highlighting the Millersville women's tennis teams' performance at the ITA Atlantic Regional.

Hayes went 3-1 in the A singles draw, pushing to the round of eight before finally bowing. Hayes' 5-7, 7-6 (7-3), 10-4 tiebreaker win in the opening round set the stage for her weekend efforts. She followed the win over West Liberty's Maria Martirosyan with a 6-4, 6-3 triumph over IUP's Hannah Beitat and a convincing 6-1, 6-1 win over Leane Ben Ammar from Slippery Rock. IUP's Asel Calbay stop Hayes in quarters by a 6-1, 6-0 score.

Haley Miller also competed in the A draw, going 1-1 with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Fairmont State's Sena Sakai in round one and a loss to Charleston's Jingyi Liu in the round of 32. Mia Gassert went 1-1 in the B singles draw, scoring a 6-4, 6-0 win over Bloomsburg's Sarah Buck before a loss to East Stroudsburg's Jenna Castell.

Hayes and Gassert represented Millersville in the A doubles draw as well. After a narrow 8-7 (8-6) loss in round one, the tandem scored a 6-1 win over Slippery Rock's Lucia Garcia Cortes and Anna Poranski.
