
M. Hayes earns back-to-back PSAC East Athlete of the Week honors

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - For the second consecutive week, freshman Marian Hayes has been named the PSAC East women's tennis Athlete of the Week, as announced by the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference on March 30. Hayes continues to dominate her opponents, remaining perfect in spring singles play with a 5-0 record while posting a 4-1 mark in doubles.
In the loss to West Chester, M. Hayes teamed up with Lauren Hayes as the only Marauder duo to secure a doubles victory, winning 6-1. Hayes also impressed in singles play, earning a dominant 6-2, 6-1 win over her opponent.
Millersville narrowly secured a 4-3 victory over Edinboro, fueled by a sweep in doubles and M. Hayes clinching the match in singles. M. Hayes and L. Hayes once again led the way in doubles with a strong 6-2 win. In singles play, Hayes battled to maintain her streak and seal the team victory, earning a 6-4, 6-1 win.
The Marauders are back in action Apr 1 at 3:00 p.m. as they host the Golden Bears from Kutztown University.
