MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - After working side-by-side with Millersville head coach Drew Folmar during the 2025 season, former Bucknell standout P.J. Barr has been named the Marauders' new offensive line coach.
Barr served as the tight ends coach on Folmar's offensive staff at Bucknell last season, and he now brings to Millersville the knowledge and work ethic that made him a four-year starter at Bucknell and an All-CAA selection during a graduate season at Maine.
"P.J. is a great young coach who is a proven teacher and communicator," said Folmar. "He is a relentless recruiter, and he will do a great job recruiting and developing our offensive line."
Before leading the tight ends at his alma mater, Barr worked as an offensive quality control coach and player development assistant under Greg Schiano at Rutgers. His coaching career began while also playing out his career as a graduate student at Maine. There, he worked as an offensive graduate assistant, gaining experience on the coaching side.
Barr was a versatile and decorated offensive lineman at Bucknell and Maine. He was a four-year starter for the Bison, starting a game at all five spots on the line. He served as a team captain, earned All-Patriot League honors twice, and was named his team's most outstanding offensive lineman twice. Barr excelled in the classroom as well, earning a spot on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. Barr completed his playing career at Maine where he started all 11 games at left tackle, landing All-CAA Second Team honors and the team's outstanding offensive lineman award. He received an invitation to rookie mini-camp with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Barr's addition completes Folmar's coaching staff, which includes six new assistants. The program's spring practices begin on March 31.
