Men's tennis drops third match in a row to Bluefield State

BRIDGEWATER, VA. - The Millersville University men's tennis team dropped its third consecutive spring match, falling 6–1 to Bluefield State. Milan Urbanek earned the Marauders' only point in singles after his opponent retired due to injury. In doubles play, the pair of Paul Bagnouls and Adrian Weisser secured a 6–2 victory for Millersville.
Doubles partners Sandor Wulf and Axel Duclos struggled in their match, falling 6–1. Daniel Ducheyne and Arrav Bharti also came up short, dropping their match 6–4. Paul Bagnouls and Adrian Weisser secured the Marauders' lone doubles victory with a 6–2 win, improving their record to 2–1 in doubles play this week.
In singles play, Wulf forced a third set after dropping the first 7–5 and taking the second 6–4, but he narrowly lost the deciding set 1–0 (9). Weisser and Bagnouls kept their matches competitive, falling 6–4, 6–3 and 6–3, 6–4, respectively. Duclos struggled, dropping his match 6–1, 6–2, while Ducheyne battled in the second set before falling 6–1, 6–4. Urbanek secured the Marauders' lone point of the match after his opponent retired due to injury.
The Marauders are back on their home courts Thursday, March 19 when they face the Rams from Jefferson.
