MILLERSVILLE, Pa. — The Millersville women's tennis team emphatically swept Shepherd 7–0 on Wednesday afternoon, keeping the Rams off the scoresheet entirely.
The dual was limited to just two doubles and five singles matches, but the Marauders controlled every rally on the day. Hui Jen Soo and Lauren Hayes made easy work of Hallie Meyer and Millie Shaw as the top pairing, and Chloe Abramowitz and Luci Consigliere faced no resistance against Lily Gross and Alexus Vaughan to breeze through doubles play.
After winning both doubles matches 6–0, the Marauders would go on to win each singles match in identical fashion, as 'Ville came out on top in every single set. Soo took down Meyer again, 6–0, 6–0, and Hayes picked up another win against Shaw in a 6–0, 6–0 outcome. Abramowitz shutout Gross 6–0, 6–0, and Consigliere blanked Vaughan 6–0, 6–0. In the last singles match of the day, Sophie Lanius dominated against Victoria Ames in another 6–0, 6–0 final.
The Marauders are now 7–6 overall and improve to 2–1 in-conference. Next up is a road dual against the Golden Bears, as 'Ville will take on the PSAC rival at 2 p.m. tomorrow afternoon at Kutztown.
