MILLERSVILLE, Pa. — The Millersville women's tennis team battled against Edinboro as the Fighting Scots traveled east across the state, taking the dual over the Marauders 5–2.

The Marauders entered the dual shorthanded, coming in with only two duos and five singles players. The Marauders came away with a split in the doubles matches that were played, picking up a 6–1 win out of the first spot from Hui Jen Soo and Lauren Hayes over Cecilia Carayol and Sofia Benito, but Edinboro's win by default earned them the doubles point.

Hayes had a strong individual day, picking up a singles win in the dual as well. Hayes bested Luciana Ponce in a three-set victory; 6–3, 2–6, 6–2. The last win for Millersville on the day came out of the fourth seed from Luci Consigliere. The sophomore took her match over Lara Sener 6–4, 6–1.

'Ville has an immediate turnaround to its next dual with the recent schedule updates, with a trip over to Kutztown to take on the Golden Bears next up on the slate at 2 p.m. tomorrow afternoon.
