Millersville's O'Neill lands PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week award

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Millersville goalkeeper KC O'Neill played a key role in helping Millersville clinch its first PSAC Tournament berth since 2022, and on Tuesday, she was recognized as the PSAC East Defensive of the Week.
O'Neill, who has started all 17 games in goal for the Marauders, helped Millersville to victories in two must-win games. On April 23, O'Neill blanked No. 19 Kutztown for the entire second half, helping Millersville rally to a 10-4 win. She made a season-high 14 saves. Three days later, the Marauders needed a win against Shippensburg to qualify for the postseason, and O'Neill stopped eight shots in the 13-12 win.
O'Neill is the first Marauder to win a PSAC East weekly award this season, and is the first Marauder since March 6, 2024, to win the division's defensive athlete of the week honor.
O'Neill and the Marauders take on East Stroudsburg Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the first round of the PSAC Tournament.
