Morgan announces offensive and defensive coordinators

| By:
MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Millersville football has officially announced additions to the coaching staff with head coach J.C. Morgan naming Brian Ferguson the offensive coordinator and Ralph Clark team's the defensive coordinator.

Ferguson and Clark bring head coaching experience and success as coordinators in Super Region 1. Ferguson was most recently the head coach at Concord University after three years coordinating a nationally-ranked offense. Clark was elevated to the defensive coordinator role after serving as the team's cornerbacks coach in 2024. Clark previously led the Millersville defense in 2014-15. Morgan will also hold the position of recruiting coordinator.

Ferguson has a long track record of productive offenses in the Division II ranks. From 2020-22, he led Concord, helping the team to a 9-2 record and national top-10 rankings in points per game, yards per game, passing, passing touchdowns and total touchdowns. He also served as the offensive coordinator at Tusculum, coached at Jacksonville University and Tiffin, won an ArenaBowl Championship with the Jacksonville Sharks and coached three years in NFL Europe, helping the Rhein Fire to two World Bowl appearances.

"I am happy to welcome Brian to the Marauder family as our new offensive coordinator," said Morgan. "He has a wide range of coaching experience at multiple levels of college football as well as the professional ranks. With several players returning on the offensive side of the ball, it is important that we have someone who has a philosophy that aligns with what we want to do moving forward. I look forward to getting him out on the field with the guys in a few weeks for spring ball."

Clark made an impact in his first stint as Millersville's defensive coordinator in 2014-15. He jumped Millersville from the bottom of the PSAC to fifth in the conference in total defense and second in passing defense in one season. He was then hired as the DC at Seton Hill and then selected to start the football program at Alvernia. He was the defensive coordinator at Saint Francis in 2010, giving him 15 years coaching and recruiting in Pennsylvania.

"I am excited to announce that Coach Clark will be our new defensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator," said Morgan. "He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position. He also brings a high level of familiarity with our roster and local recruiting territories. Our players are excited to move forward with him and I am excited to see our defense grow under his leadership."
