MILLERSVILLE, Pa. --- No. 8 ranked Millersville field hockey (6–5, 2–1 PSAC) dropped a 2–0 decision to undefeated No. 1 Shippensburg (11–0, 3–0 PSAC) on Wednesday evening at Chryst Field at Biemesderfer Stadium.

The Marauders were out shot 24–8 but held tough defensively behind a strong effort from Sarah Crysler to keep the Red Raiders at bay who recorded seven saves on the evening. Post Game with Shelly Behrens
- Tough game against a tough opponent tonight, what did you learn about your team in this one?
- "I think the resiliency and the heart. I challenged them on a couple of things and they responded. I think we could've started off a bit stronger, that's a very good team in Ship, but I think we tend to bring out the best of each other on occasions. Excited from where we're going from here."
