Women's tennis falls to UDC in dual opener

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Millersville women's tennis dropped a 7-0 decision to the University of the District of Columbia in Wednesday's dual opener.
UDC stayed unbeaten, improving to 2-0 with the shutout win. The Marauders could not manage a point, but the No. 1 singles match between Millersville Maria Ojeda and Noelle Htwar and UDC's Simone Parn and Sofia Bellucco needed a tiebreaker.
UDC took all six singles matches in straight sets, but Chloe Abramowitz forced a second-set tiebreaker in her loss at No. 4 singles.
UDC improved to 3-1 all-time against the Marauders, winning the last three matches via shutout.
Millersville returns to action on Oct. 1 at the PSAC Individual Championships.
