Marauders get 5-2 win over Salem

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Millersville women's tennis team defeated Salem 5-2 Wednesday for its third-straight victory.
The Marauders improved to 7-5 with the win while Salem fell to 2-8. Millersville has outscored its last three opponents by a 15-3 margin.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• A short-handed Salem team, playing without a third doubles team and missing a player from its singles lineup was no match for the Marauders, who cruised in doubles and won three of the five contested singles matches.
• Julie Wallace and Noelle Htwar teamed for a 6-3 win in the No. 1 doubles spot, and Maria Ojeda and Chloe Abramowitz won by shutout, 6-0. Wallace and Htwar scored their team-best 10th win, and Ojeda and Abramowitz improved to 6-3.
• In singles, Salem took the matches in the No. 1 and No. 2 flights, but Millersville swept the remainder. Wallace (No. 3) and Abramowitz (No. 5) won by shutout, and Kelsey Heckert nearly did as well, winning 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 4 flight.

• Millersville hosts PSAC East foe Kutztown on April 2.
