EDINBORO, Pa. –. With a total score of 63 points, the Millersville University track and field team recorded a fourth-place finish at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Indoor Championship meet, setting a new program record for the highest finish in team history at the event. Host institution Edinboro University won the PSAC Championship with a team score of 96.
The Marauders did most of their damage in the field events, scoring 18 points in the weight throw, 15 in the shot put, while adding 10 from the pole vault, accounting for 72 percent of the teams' points.
Aliyah Striver was named field athlete of the meet for the second time in her career, having previously won the award during the 2020 season. Striver finished in first place in the shot put (47-6 ½) and second in the weight throw (55-7 ¾).
DAY TWO HIGHLIGHTS
- Striver successfully defended her title in the shot put, as she hit a championship distance of 47-6 ½ on her second throw, good for a new season best distance. She was also the runner up in Saturday's weight throw final as the two time Field Athlete of the Meet put together another pair of All-PSAC distances.
- Hannah Woelfling took fourth in the shot put with a distance of 44-9 ½ after winning the conference title in the weight throw on Saturday.
- De'Asia Holloman earned All-PSAC honors after taking second place in the 60-meter hurdle with a time of 9.07 seconds.
- Morgan Janiuk took ninth in the mile finishing in 5:16.00.
- Lyric Williams took seventh in the 400-meter finishing in 59.73 seconds.
- Emma Elwell (7.91) and Aurora Conrad (12.11) took sixth and eighth place in the 60-meter dash.
- Abbey Sullivan took 12th place in the 800-meter as she clocked in at 2:24.19.
- The 4x400 relay team of Mia Carson, Julia Fallows, Lindsay Solderitch and Williams took fifth place with a time of 4:05.61.
- Maddy Downs came in 15th in the shot put as she hit 38-9 on her second attempt.

The Marauders will hope to send several student-athletes to the NCAA Indoor Championship Meet next month in Pittsburg, Kansas. The selection show for the meet is set for Tuesday at 6 p.m. on NCAA.com. The rest of the team will begin the outdoor portion of their season on March 11-12 at the Myrtle Beach Challenge in South Carolina.
