
Multiple Marauders hit the podium in PSAC Championships, highlighted by Murphy's third place finish

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Millersville University women's track and field team competed in the final day of the 2025-26 Indoor Track and Field PSAC Championships, with several podium performances highlighted by a third-place win from Katelyn Murphy in the 60-meter hurdles.
Ava Wilson competed in the high jump, but unfortunately she failed to clear the opening height of 5-0½ and did not place in the event. Sarah Hessler won her second podium spot of the weekend after finishing in fifth place in the shot put with a 44-0. Yesterday, Hessler brought home the first-place medal in the weight throw with a 59-0, which is her second NCAA DII provisional throw of the season. She is currently sitting in 25th on the qualifying list.
In the first track event of the day for the Marauders, Bri Pollock grabbed herself a podium after finishing with the fifth fastest time in the one-mile run. She finished the race in 5:09.99, which was the fastest time in her heat of the event. Bella Ruefle finished a few minutes after her with a 5:14.22 for 10th place.
Katelyn Murphy grabbed the Marauders their only medal of the day in the 60-meter hurdles after running an 8.85 for third place. Yesterday in the preliminary run, she ran one-hundredth of a second faster at 8.84.
Lauren Gula and Kira Chebishev kept pace with one-another in the 800-meter run, finishing in 15th and 16th respectively. Gula ran the second fastest time with a 2:24.37 and Chebishev ran the third fastest time with a 2:24.48 in their heat. Pollock also ran in the 3,000-meter run later in the afternoon and finished in 10th place with a 10:26.64.
In the 4X400 relay, which was the final event of the championship, Millersville's team of Milan Snell, Wilson, Megan Hechler, and Shelby Derkosh found themselves on the podium at sixth place. They ran a 4:01.13 which was the fastest time in their heat.

The Marauders finished in ninth place in the championships with 39 points. The Marauders start their outdoor track and field season March 13th as they travel to South Carolina for the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge.
