
Wallace and Htwar pairing leads Marauders in ITA Atlantic Regional

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Millersville women's tennis played host to the ITA Atlantic Regional over the weekend, and the team's efforts were highlighted by the play of Julie Wallace and Noelle Htwar in doubles. The duo won the championship consolation bracket with three consecutive wins.
EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
• After losing in round one of the championship bracket, Wallace and Htwar worked their way through the consolation bracket, scoring wins over teams from Fairmont State (8-5) and Edinboro (8-4) to reach the finals. There, Wallace and Htwar defeated Ainara Pastor and Isadora Matos of Fairmont State, 8-2
In the B draw doubles, Chloe Abramowitz and Kaitlyn Then paired for a 1-1 record.
• Htwar was also Millersville's top singles performer, playing out of the championship draw. After a loss in the first round, Htwar won two matches in the consolation bracket, reaching the semifinals. She won 4-2, 4-2 against Alana Lewis of Mercyhurst and topped Juliana Jiminez of Bluefield State, 4-5 (3), 4-1, 10-6.

• Millersville stays in tournament mode and travels to Bloomsburg for the PSAC Individual Championships on Oct. 2.
