ABOUT THE MARAUDERS
• The Millersville University men's golf team enters its seventh consecutive NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Super Region Championships. The tournament is three rounds with the first starting on Thursday, May 9 and concluding on Saturday, May 11.
• The Marauders play on the Totteridge Golf Course in Greensburg, Pa. None of the current Marauders have played the course before in their collegiate careers.
• Through the fall season, Millersville earned four top-five finishes while picking up a win at the Revolutionary Golf Classic with a 593 two-day total. That tournament was led by Matt Spak's even 144 and final round 2-under 70.
• The Marauders saw some of their super regional competitors in October at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Golf Championship with the squad finishing in fifth place. The conference championship was the last time the team participated in a three-day tournament. Three Marauders finished in the top-20 spots with Matt Keim and Ronnie Yanoski in a tie for 12th.
• In last year's appearance at the super regional, the team finished tied for 12th out of 20 teams. The team was powered by Connor Sheehan who just missed out of the NCAA Championships after placing third. Millersville combined for a 909 total which featured a 300 opening round. In the second round, the squad posted a 307 and then surged back in the final round for a 302.
• Four Marauders are returning to this event with regional playing experience. Keim is entering his third season as one of the starters while Ronnie Yanoski played in his first NCAA event last year. Matt Spak will be playing in his second regional tournament as he played in the 2017 tournament.
• Matt Spak is averaging a team-leading 76.8 score. After a tie for ninth place at the Mercyhurst Invitational, Spak won the Alvernia Invitational and then captured a third-place finish at the Revolutionary Golf Classic. Spak kept the momentum going with a tie for 16th at the conference tournament. Spak rounded out the spring season with a tie for fifth place performance at the IUP Invitational. Spak will be playing as the No. 3 player in the super regional lineup.
• Keim has finished three times in the top-10 this season. Keim's top finish was in the Hal Hansen Invitational when he shot a 74-69 for third place. Keim is second on the team with a 77.4 scoring average. Keim competed in the 2018 Super Regional and finished in 89th.
• Corey Betham will be competing in his first ever NCAA Super Regional Tournament. In his final season as a Marauder, Betham has registered five top-15 finishes with three coming in the final three tournaments. His best finish was at the IUP Invitational after shooting a 2-over 73, earning a fourth place finish. Betham's 78.1 scoring average ranks fourth on the team.
• This marks the first time in Brady Erb's career that he will be competing in this event. Erb earned the fourth spot in this year's super regional lineup. Through 17 rounds, Erb has posted a 78.7 scoring average. His best finish came at the Hal Hansen and West Chester Invitationals, tying for 11th.
• Yanoski will be the first Marauder out on the course in the opening round as the No. 5 player. After playing in 10 rounds last year and earning a starting role, Yanoski came back his sophomore year and competed in 18 rounds while averaging a 78.8 score. Yanoski earned a tie for 10th place at the IUP Invitational where he shot a 4-over 75. Yanoski was the lone freshman to play in the super regional last year where he tied for 48th after shooting a 71 in the opening round.
