Seton Hill bests Millersville in three

Greensburg, Pa. - An efficient offensive attack led Seton Hill to a 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-20) win over the visiting Millersville women's volleyball team on Saturday.
The loss was the second in a row for the Marauders, who drop to 11-11 (6-7 PSAC) while Seton Hill improved to 15-8 (9-4 PSAC). Seton Hill averaged 15 kills per set and hit .308 in the match while Millersville hit .123, totaled a season-low 32 kills and managed a season-low one service ace.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• Millersville posted no more than 11 kills in each of the three sets and committed six errors in all three. Meanwhile, Seton Hill posted 14 kills in the first, 16 in the second and 15 in the third--all while hitting no lower than .239.
• Millersville trailed 9-8 in the first set but Seton Hill scored eight of the next 10 points and pulled away, building leads of as many as nine. Four of Lindsey Blevins' nine kills came in the first.
• Seton Hill led by as many as 10 at 21-11 in the second set. Haley Butler totaled five of her nine kills in the second, picking them up on 10 swings.
• The third set started with Seton Hill scoring on five of the first six rallies--three on kills and two on Marauder errors. Seton Hill scored six consecutive points in one stretch to build a 20-9 lead. Millersville did out-score the Griffins 11-5 the rest of the way, but it was not enough.
INDIVIDUAL LEADERS
• Lindsey Blevins led Millersville with nine kills and hit double-digits in digs with 10.
• Kat Forry led Millersville with 12 digs.
• Samantha Miller and Haley Butler both recorded seven kills with two errors. Miller also had the team's lone ace.
NOTES
• Millersville is now 0-6 all-time against Seton Hill.
• Millersville dropped to 3-7 on the road.
• Miller has recorded an ace in back-to-back matches.
• Millersville's two block assists were the second-fewest of the season and the fewest since Sept. 7.
UP NEXT
• Millersville returns on home on Oct. 26 to face Clarion. It starts a stretch of five consecutive home matches to close the regular season.
