West Chester, Pa. - Millersville women's tennis faced a must-win match Thursday at West Chester. The Golden Rams, however, clinched a PSAC Tournament berth and knocked the Marauders from playoff contention by a 7-2 score.
Millersville (4-12, 2-3 PSAC East) received a singles win from Tori Davis and a doubles win from Alexandra Heller and Stefanie Fisher. That was all the Marauders could muster as West Chester improved to 7-9 overall and 4-1 in the PSASC East.
Davis won her match at No. 2 singles over Nicole Fahringer, 7-5, 6-3. Heller and Fisher won by an 8-5 score at No. 2 doubles.
Millersville closes its 2013-14 season on Friday at home against Shippensburg. The match begins at 5:30 p.m.
