Women's Tennis Closes Season with Sweep of Shippensburg

Millersville, Pa. - The Millersville women's tennis team closed its 2013-14 season on high note, sweeping Shippensburg by a score of 9-0 at McComsey Tennis Courts Saturday afternoon.
Millersville (5-12, 3-3 PSAC East) won all seven of the contested matches and picked up points by defeat at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles. All of the singles wins came in straight sets.
Elizabeth Wagner, Alexandra Heller and Stefanie Fisher, all playing in their final matches as Marauders won easily. Wagner won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, Heller scored a 6-3, 6-2 victory at No. 3 singles and Fisher won by a 6-1, 6-3 tally at No. 4 singles.
Nicole Daacke, who finished with a team-best six victories, won by a 6-0, 6-1 score at No. 5 singles. Daacke and Kaylora Thompson improved to a team-best 5-3 in doubles with their win by default.
