Rod White Jr., joined the Millersville football coaching staff as its special teams coordinator and safeties coach prior to the 2026 season.
White, a 2013 graduate of West Liberty University, quickly built a strong resume as defensive coach at the Division II level. He most recently served as the co-defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach at Bowie State, where he developed six All-CIAA performers. His 2022 and 2023 units ranked in the top 10 in the country in defensive pass efficiency.
White's career began at Virginia-Wise, where he immediately helped the defense boost its interceptions total by five and improved its completion percentage against. White served as the defensive passing game coordinator and defensive backs coach at Bluefield College in 2017 and 2018. In his first season, the defense led the nation in passing touchdowns allowed and passing yards allowed while ranking in the top seven in passing defense efficiency, yards per completion and completion percentage. White then moved to Stevenson where he added special teams coordinator to his responsibilities.
As a student-athlete at West Liberty, White was a three-year starter and a team captain. In 2012, he totaled 54 tackles, picked off three passes and broke up 11. He totaled 52 tackles, four interceptions and 15 passes defended in 2013.
